Hello, A few months ago i started having issue with my stats disappearing from Free DC and now my stats are somehow split into a new CPID. I tried to figure out why this might be the case as my email is the same across all projects and hasn't changed.

I looked in my account here and when i view "computers" i show the name of some other persons computer as being the only one that is doing work and my own computers are not showing. I have no idea who this other computer belongs to or why mine are not showing. Can you please have a look at my account as there seems to be something wrong with it.

Thanks,

motqalden

Might be best to go onto the Boinc Forum at Berkeley to sort out the CPID issue. Some observations, you have 900+ clients that have not contacted the server since the 9th August and multiple clients that apparently "died" on the 30th April. Looking at the Goofyxgrid stats it doesn't look like your clients have been hijacked by anyone else, it just looks like they're not running? Now then, this client that isn't yours, have you checked the I.P address of that client and compared it with yours? I find it difficult to believe that someone would add a machine to your account without knowing your EMail and password, unless of course its some sort of database error. BTW, I looked at your account through Free-DC and you have several CPID's. One other thing, are you using BAM at all?

Cheers,

Pete

I have not been running it with multiple hosts since many months back but i have it on at least 4 computers running the standard 4 tasks at once. None of these machines are showing connected to the "computers" list despite removing and re-adding the project. Strangely in my boinc client this project shows the account name as "Fax" and i have no idea what that is as all my other projects show the account "motqalden" Additionally both the name of the computer and the hardware it lists (for the one that is showing) has absolutely nothing to do with me.
I agree with your assessment (that i have not been hijacked) and am convinced this is in fact a database error that is linking someone else's machines with my account and i assume my machines with someone else's account. I have read articles on how to fix a CPID split but i am pretty sure this mess will affect my attempts to resolve it. I have updated the password on the account and this has not fixed the issue. I tried to use BAM at one point a long time ago but gave up on it. This is the only project i have that has issues like this and i am not concerned about really old CPID split as i did have other emails that i used many years ago.

Yes, it looks like your computers are attached to the account "fax" and his single computer is attached to yours. The account "fax" has an RAC that you would expect to have 4 clients attached. Probably happened when the database was corrupted a few months ago and your EMail address's were swapped over. Only goofyx can fix this.. As far as CPID's go, I also have a split, luckily only one long dead project is affected and my credits for that project (Render.Fi) are pretty minimal.

Cheers,

Pete

So @goofy can you please have a look at my account and see why someone else's computer is showing and mine are not?
